Axial Flow Pump
An axial flow pump is a type of water pump that consists of a propeller in a tube. Axial flow pumps allow fluid to enter the impeller axially. It is also known as propeller pump because the working of the impeller is almost same as the propeller of a boat. The advantage of axial flow pumps is infinite water flow, which is not possible when using other conventional pumps.
How does an axial flow pump works?
The Axial Flow Pump moves water in a direction that is parallel to the pump shaft. Liquid is drawn into the suction bell by the propeller and pushed out the discharge with minimal friction and no change of direction. It uses the propelling action of the impeller's vanes on the liquid to develop pressure. It can be adjusted by changing the pitch of the blades on the propeller.
